OZEV Grant Information:
The “OZEV Grant” signifies a government initiative aimed at supporting electric vehicle adoption. Administered by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), this grant offers financial assistance for the purchase and installation of electric car home chargers.
- Under the OZEV EV charge point grant, individuals can benefit from a subsidy of up to £350, effectively reducing the overall cost of acquiring and installing a home charging point. It’s important to note that this grant is applicable for one charge point per eligible vehicle and household.
The eligibility criteria extend to those residing in rented properties or owning flats with dedicated off-street parking. Furthermore, landlords or property managers may have the opportunity to claim an additional sum of up to £500 per bay (up to 60 bays) through the EV infrastructure grant for residential car parks, supporting the installation of infrastructure for residents and their neighbours.
For businesses looking to enhance EV infrastructure for staff and fleet parking, OZEV also provides grants to alleviate the costs associated with the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. These comprehensive grants underscore the government’s commitment to fostering a more sustainable and electric vehicle-friendly environment.
